Marshmallow Brownies

This brownie is my friend’s grandma’s recipe. She’s Italian, and this was one of our favorite desserts in high school. There was a time when he was staying at my place two days every week, and he gave me this recipe as a gift 😍

  1. Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the unsweetened chocolate, chocolate chips, and butter in the top of a double boiler. Stir and cool.

  3. Beat together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in the chocolate mixture.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir into the chocolate mixture.

  5. Stir in the marshmallows and optional walnuts.

  6. Spread into the prepared pan.

  7. Bake at 350°F for about 35–40 minutes.
